The Alexander/Madison Chapter – Greater Kansas City /Leavenworth Area 9th & 10th (Horse) Calvary Association was formed in 1966. The first President Trooper James Madison served with the 10th Calvary in North Africa around 1944. Our current President is Trooper J.R Bruce-Regimental Sargent Major. Vice President Carrie Milton. Secretary Barbra Baker, Public Relations Bill Young, Treasure Donna Madison, Photographer Colonel Len Nevels and a host of dedicated members. It is an honor and privilege for our members to exhibit the legacy of the Buffalo Soldier. Authentication is important to us; we can and we will uphold the integrity of the Buffalo Soldier’s rich history. With enthusiasm we are able to display original Buffalo Soldier Artifacts during special events and in museums. On several occasions with a modest cast we have presented an original play “Fiddlers Green” written by member Donna Madison. It is our hope to be Ready and Forward to educate the public on the impact the Buffalo Soldier has made on this Great Nation of Ours. The battles he endured whether on the plains or with local hostels, it is with great tenacity that he soldiered on. We honor him.
